Every government fee, levy, or third-party cost cited on this site traces to a public source and carries the date it was last verified. One example used throughout: Alberta charges no provincial land transfer tax, but the Alberta Land Titles office charges a registration levy of $50 plus $5 per $5,000 of value (or part) for both land transfers and mortgage registrations, effective October 20, 2024 (source: alberta.ca, verified June 2026). When a fee changes, the page is updated and the verification date moves with it.
Our own pricing works differently by design: every transaction is quoted as one flat fee, confirmed in writing before any work begins. The closing-cost calculator computes an itemized estimate server-side from the same fee schedule the firm uses; the exact figure is confirmed when your file opens.
The experience claims on this site — 20 years of practice, more than 10,000 Alberta closings — are the firm's own records. We do not publish comparative claims ("the best," "the most experienced") that cannot be documented, consistent with Law Society of Alberta marketing rules.
