The terms that govern your use of this website.
This website, located at 4stepstoclose.com (the "Site"), is operated by Giardino Law, an Alberta law firm and a member of the Law Society of Alberta, which operates under the brand name "4 Steps to Close" ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Site.
The content of this Site — including all pages, descriptions of our services, frequently asked questions, and any other material — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer regarding your specific transaction. Real estate law in Alberta is governed by provincial statutes, municipal requirements, and case law that change over time and apply differently to each matter.
Accessing this Site, submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or completing an intake form does not, by itself, create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Giardino Law. A solicitor-client relationship is established only after we have reviewed your matter, confirmed our flat fee with you, and you have formally retained us in writing.
Until a retainer is in place, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this Site. While our intake forms use industry-standard encryption, information submitted before a retainer is in place is not protected by solicitor-client privilege.
Giardino Law is licensed to practise law only in the Province of Alberta and provides legal services only for Alberta real estate matters. We do not provide legal advice for matters governed by the laws of other provinces or countries. The Site is intended for residents of Canada and for transactions involving Alberta real property. By using the Site you confirm you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
Any fees, ranges, or examples shown on the Site are estimates for general guidance only and do not constitute a binding offer or quotation. Your actual flat fee, and any additional charges that may apply to your file, will be confirmed with you in writing before any work begins. Pricing is subject to change without notice.
Our online intake is provided through Clio Grow, a third-party secure intake platform. When you use our intake forms, your information is collected and processed through that platform in accordance with its terms and privacy practices and our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of any third-party service.
We do not publish curated or anonymous testimonials on this Site. Any client reviews referenced are published on our public Google Business Profile, written by named reviewers, and are not edited by us. Reviews reflect the individual experience of the person who wrote them and are not a promise, guarantee, or prediction of the outcome of any other matter. Every real estate transaction is unique.
All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, page design, and software — is owned by or licensed to Giardino Law and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
You agree not to use the Site in any way that is unlawful, that could damage or impair the Site, that attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data, or that interferes with any other person's use of the Site. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site.
This Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. Those links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Giardino Law and its lawyers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from your access to or use of, or inability to use, this Site or any information on it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under the rules of the Law Society of Alberta.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when the terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of the Site.
